Parallel Worlds

The story of Parallel Worlds begins in 1692, the last day of Minister Robert E. Kirk’s life. Kirk had the gift of second sight; he could see fairies and documented everything. Using firsthand knowledge, he warned his congregation about the fairies and their desire to steal the soul of man. Later that evening, Kirk kept his plan to enter the Fairy World. The next day the minister was found dead, lying at the base of the Fairy Tree in his nightgown with his boots on. Townsfolk were certain the fairies locked his soul in the Fairy Tree. This is where the story really begins.

While incarcerated in the Fairy Tree, Kirk learns about our parallel worlds and more about fairies and their discovery of Hell. Conditions there have worsened since the time of Dante Alighieri’s Inferno.

Minister Kirk fights valiantly to save his soul. His fight is for humanity. With the aid of the Knights Templar, and prayer, the minister is able to communicate massive amounts of information to his ancestral grandson, Bobby Kirk, through vivid dreams. Bobby also has inherited the gift of second sight. He becomes overwhelmed with his dreams and convinces his friend Colin Campbell to travel to Scotland. Prior to their fascinating journey, Bobby receives a Holy Nail, in the shape of a ring, and handed down through the ages from the Knights Templar.

For the first time in history, humans travel through a portal, on their own and not from an abduction. In Connected Worlds, Bobby and Colin, through a freak experiment, wind up overlooking the great city of Murias, one of four legendary cities in the fairy world. With no idea how to return home, they set out on a long journey around our parallel world through each city, over the oceans, and overland. They encounter a wide variety of inhabitants on a long journey to reach Fairy Knowe, and their inevitable battle with King Khalen.

Hunted by fair folk through the entire journey, the two friends take on the disguise of laborers, slaves of the fair folk. Bobby carries the Holy Nail, but is unaware of its impact on fairies. Fair folk have an aversion to iron according to mythology. As a result of carrying the Holy Nail, Bobby and Colin have different experiences on their journey. The young men find romance in the mountainous city of Gorias. Bobby meets Maggie O’Malley, a nurse who was abducted as a baby by the witch Baba Yaga. Maggie’s best friend, Cherry Pepperglow, is a fairy. Cherry enjoys Colin’s company, and the four of them complete the journey, having many adventures travelling through the beautiful, peaceful, fairy world, a world perhaps thousands of years advanced from our own.

Take the journey with Bobby and Colin, on their quest to challenge King Khalen at the Fairy Tree.

Worlds Reconnected, the third quadrant, depicts the unthinkable development in the struggle for the soul. Battles break out in both worlds, the chase going back and forth. King Khalen becomes desperate to be victorious, to save his throne. Never before in history has human folk had complete knowledge of fair folk. Now, with the assistance of Cherry Pepperglow, human folk travel between the worlds.

Under the threat of human invasion, circumstances become complicated for Khalen. The king needs a soul to replace the escaped soul of Minister Kirk. With a new soul, he believes he can control the quantum entanglement energy that binds humans in prayer. With this energy, he will infiltrate the hopes and dreams of human folk to gain power.

Tensions mount as King Khalen faces dethronement by the other fairy leaders, King Odin, Lady Vivienne, and the Sun Goddess Brighid. They make a massive case that Khalen is incompetent. Cherry Pepperglow escaped his custody to aid the enemy. Maggie O’Malley must return home; she is Odin’s coveted nurse. Khalen accidentally causes destruction around the world in an effort to capture his escapees. Finally caught in a lie, his only hope of maintaining power is capturing a human soul.

Bobby, Maggie, Colin, and Cherry do all they can to escape the forces of Khalen, as well as the massive army of the combined leaders. The events that happen on Stark Mountain change the relationship between fair folk and human folk for centuries to come.
